WOMEX is an international world music expo with showcases, a trade fair and a conference, run by Piranha Arts in Berlin and held in a different city each October (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2026). Its showcase programme comes from an annual call for proposals open to any artist in any country, picked by an independent jury, with an emphasis on newcomers to the international touring circuit. The 2026 call is closed and reopens in early 2027.
