Vagos Metal Fest bills itself as the Capital do Metal and takes over Quinta do Ega in Vagos, in Portugal's Aveiro district, for five days every August. The 2026 edition ran 5 to 9 August with Lamb of God, Within Temptation, Godsmack, In Flames and Satyricon at the top of a roughly 50 band bill, and the undercard is the reason it matters to a smaller act: Toxikull, Holocausto Canibal, Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, Stercore, Guiltera, Symfobia and Lone Survivors all played alongside the international names. Day tickets were 69 euro and the five day pass 169 euro. The site is about an hour from Porto and 15 minutes from Aveiro, with free camping next to the arena and free shuttles from Aveiro station. Bands apply by email year round rather than through a dated open call: the contact page lists a booking address under Apresentacao de Bandas, with separate ones for general, press and business matters and for accreditation. There is no form and no published deadline, so send material well ahead of the next edition.
