Megaport Festival 大港開唱

Megaport 大港開唱 is Taiwan's biggest independent music festival, founded in Kaohsiung in 2006 by the team behind Formoz Festival and held every March on the harbour at the Pier-2 Art Center. It hit its twentieth anniversary with the 2026 edition on 21 and 22 March, whose bill mixed The Flaming Lips, Battles, Quruli, Creepy Nuts, WONK, sogumm and UVERworld with Taiwanese mainstays like 拍謝少年 Sorry Youth. The festival is known for stages built around the port itself, including 大雄丸, a stage on a boat that actually sails, and for pairing veteran singers with new generation bands. It is run by 出日音樂 (Tsuji Music) and programmes dozens of acts a year, most of them independent.
