jazzahead! is the international jazz trade fair and showcase festival held every April at Messe Bremen in northern Germany, with the 2027 edition running 22 to 24 April. Its showcase festival gives 38 selected bands 30 to 45 minute concerts in Hall 7 and at Kulturzentrum Schlachthof, split into four modules: European Showcases, Overseas and Asia-Pacific, Baltic Showcases for the 2027 partner region, and the German Jazz Expo. Applications for the 2027 showcases run from 25 August to 30 September 2026 through the participant portal, where a band can register itself or be entered by a registered exhibitor or professional participant. International juries of at least seven members pick each module and the selected artists are announced in November 2026, with showcase manager Insa Stanke handling application questions.
