Istanbul Jazz Festival

The Istanbul Jazz Festival is run by IKSV, the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, and is the principal jazz event in Turkey, spreading concerts across venues in the city each summer. Its remit is broad rather than purist, taking in soul, funk, world and electronic alongside straight jazz, and it runs a Young Jazz strand supporting newer musicians plus an awards and archive programme. The festival site is part of IKSV's institutional platform and publishes an address and map rather than a direct email, so the practical route in is through its own social accounts or IKSV's central office.
