Fluvial is Chile's international music conference and showcase festival, held every year in Valdivia in the rainy south and reaching its tenth edition from 9 to 12 December 2026 with more than 50 artists announced. It runs on two pillars: a showcase programme spread across Valdivia venues including Teatro Regional Cervantes, Carpa CECS, Club Gaz Gaz, Club Bimba, Rata Envenená, La Última Frontera and Espacio en Construcción, and a conference of panels, workshops, business rounds and networking for national and international delegates, with the detailed programme published each November. The 2026 lineup includes Chinoy, Chini.png, Niños del Cerro, Golosa la Orquesta, La Brígida Orquesta, Young Cister and Todos mis amigos están tristes, plus guests from Spain, Peru and Puerto Rico such as Jimena Amarillo, Gala Brie and Andrea Cruz. Its stated focus is the international projection of independent Chilean music, and it partners with the Worldwide Independent Network, Merlin, Sounds Australia, SODEC, Sounds from Spain, the Instituts français, Global Toronto and the International Indigenous Music Summit, the last two feeding a First Nations strand. Backers include the Ministerio de las Culturas, ProChile, CORFO, SCD, the Gobierno Regional de Los Ríos and the Universidad Austral de Chile.
