Festival Nacional de MPB de Ilha Solteira
Ilha Solteira · BR
The Festival Nacional de MPB de Ilha Solteira hits its 50th edition from 4 to 7 November 2026 at Praça da Integração in Ilha Solteira, São Paulo, produced by the Fundação Cultural de Ilha Solteira with the Prefeitura, backed by the Ministério da Cultura and sponsored by Tijoá Participações e Investimentos through the Lei de Incentivo à Cultura. Composers anywhere in Brazil enter up to two unreleased songs through a Google Form linked in the official regulation, open from 8 August to 11 September 2026, sending the lyrics stripped of any author or performer name, an MP3, and a score or chord chart if they want the festival's backing band. Playback is banned outright. A screening committee picks 30 songs, 10 for the Noite Ilhense reserved for people born or resident in Ilha Solteira and 20 for the national heats, with results published 21 September. First place, the Prêmio Mitsuro Oda, pays R$10,000 plus a trophy and three days recording at Gargolândia in Alambari, and named prizes for best lyric, best interpreter, best Ilha Solteira song and popular acclaim push the total near R$50,000. Guri e Orquestra Jovem de Ilha Solteira are among the confirmed shows. Questions go to a named address or WhatsApp on ([phone — members].
