DMZ Peace Train Music Festival has run since 2018 in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, right up against the demilitarised zone, and builds its whole programme around a peace message rather than a headliner. The 2026 edition runs 12 to 14 June at Goseokjeong, and the organisers deliberately skip big names in favour of digging up lesser known acts from Korea and abroad; the second 2026 announcement paired veteran singer Insooni with rock band The Volunteers and Indonesia's Batavia Collective. Getting there is part of the pitch, with the site posting the airport bus route from Incheon straight to the Cheorwon terminal. It is one of the few Korean festivals that consistently books international independent artists, and all enquiries go to a single published email.
