Spincoaster

Spincoaster is a Tokyo music curation outfit best known for Monday Spin, a weekly Spotify playlist that became an official Spotify Japan collaborative playlist in 2017 and only takes songs released within the previous three weeks. Its curators also publish their own personal playlists, plus themed lists like 100 SONGS OF 2025, Best New Music and TOKYO SOUNDS, and the same team picks music commercially for clients including Sony, Reebok Japan and FabCafe Tokyo. Around the playlists sits a daily news and interview site, a YouTube live session channel and the Spincoaster Music Bar rooms in Shinjuku, Ebisu and Kagurazaka. Coverage runs from Japanese acts like tofubeats, 長谷川白紙 and Kan Sano to Korean shoegaze newcomer Leaveourtears and Chicago's Sen Morimoto. Their own pages point artists and labels at a press address for sending music.
