Plankton is a Tokyo company that has been bringing world and roots music to Japan since 1984, working out of an office in Takadanobaba, Shinjuku. Its stated business covers artist management, brokering artist engagements and inviting Japanese and foreign artists to perform, and it places the acts it represents into concert halls the length of the country.
